Dr. Shawn Young

With almost two decades of experience in Periodontics (gum disease), Dr. Shawn Young is yet another valued member of the Your Smile Dental Care team.

Not only is Dr. Young highly qualified and educated with numerous degrees and certificates (including a Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology) from several of the most respected institutions in North America, he is also held in very high regard by peers and academics alike. He is a published author in his field, has served as a clinical demonstrator at both the University of Toronto (U of T) and the Boston University School of Dentistry, and is currently an interviewer for admissions to the U of T Faculty of Dentistry.

However, for patients it’s Dr. Young’s personal approach that sets him apart. Relaxed and non-judgmental, Dr. Young is fantastic with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various conditions associated with gum disease.
